Who I am
I'm Aydan, a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and mix engineer based in NYC. I've spent over a decade playing guitar and bass in bands, and the past five years producing and mixing. My main focus is pop, indie pop, alternative rock, and pop punk.
I love making music! So much in fact, that I quit my day job to do it full-time. There's no feeling like locking in and creating an absolute banger.
I'm not a big commercial studio, but that's kinda the point. Some of the biggest records of the past decade were just two people in a home studio figuring it out. With the right energy, you don't need an $800-a-day studio to make something incredible.
What I believe
- The artist knows best. Only you know how your song should sound. I'm just here to realize that vision.
- You can't make a good song with people who don't care. After years in bands and experiencing the nightmare of getting songs to the finish line, I've seen first-hand how predatory the audio services industry can be. Engineers who don't care about your record, rushing a passable mix back to you to make a quick buck. I'm the opposite. If I'm working with you, it's because I actually love your music. Every record I touch is a reflection of me, and I pour my heart into it.
- Making music should be fun! While studio time is focused, I believe it's a chance to be creatively uninhibited completely.
What Makes My Production Unique
Instruments & vocals: I've got 15+ years on guitar and bass. Decent at piano, and I can sequence drums, synths, or whatever MIDI stuff you need quickly. I'm no pro singer, but I've got a good ear for harmonies and can lay down backing vocals if you want them.
Templates & chains: I run production templates, vocal chains, and preamps used by industry pros. No more waiting for a mix to hear what your song will really sound like. The reality for modern music is that the sonic characteristics artists want should already be baked into the production. We'll get your song sounding great in a session or two.
